Love this. And thinking about how many messages of "tit for tat" I grew up with. Everything had to be an equal exchange. I make people uncomfortable now with my over-zealous "No, I'll just do it, I want to help!" It all shakes out in the end, unequally and equally at the same time.
I really enjoyed reading this, particularly this week. As a Canadian who has not crossed the border since 2016, I think I need to connect with Americans- well, Americans that I like, at least. I know that for the next 4 years I can wallow in feelings of helplessness and dread, or I can connect with people who give me hope. Not gonna lie- I will end up doing both. But I am grateful to you for being part of the healthier of those two choices.
I knew I'd love these posts. They're keeping me company, the word "interdependence" is a wonderful one. We use it in friendships, in the way I know I'll be needing it the next 4 yrs, the leaning together of friendship as we hold each other up and encourage with hope in these times.
Love this! It's hard to assign value to labour when it's growing veggies vs. baking - the part where everyone does what they love to do and everyone benefits and it brings the community closer together is priceless. ❤️

I love this! Wish I’d had the nerve years ago!
I love this so much and will probably leave that same comment every time you write a post. FYI.
